Travellers Urged to Book Airport Parking Early for Easter Rush

As the Easter holidays approach, travellers are being strongly encouraged to secure their airport parking in advance to avoid last-minute stress and potential price hikes during the peak travel period.

Last Easter, nearly two million British holidaymakers jetted off overseas during the bank holiday weekend, creating a surge in demand for airport services, including parking. With similar travel numbers expected this year, experts are advising early reservations to guarantee a hassle-free start to their trips.

Some airports have been expanding their parking facilities to meet rising demand. Dublin Airport, for example, is reopening a 42-acre parking facility on March 10, 2025, adding over 6,100 spaces under the "Park2Travel" brand. Despite these efforts, peak periods often see parking supply outstripped by demand.

Sarah Anglim, founder and Managing Director of I Love meet and greet, emphasises the importance of booking early: "Easter is one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and airport parking spaces fill up fast. To secure the best rates and avoid unnecessary stress, we strongly recommend booking in advance. Not only does this guarantee a space, but it also allows travellers to focus on enjoying their well-earned holiday."

Experts also warn that leaving parking arrangements to the last minute can lead to higher costs or limited availability, forcing travellers to seek unlicensed alternatives or rely on expensive last-minute solutions.

To ensure a smooth start to Easter getaways, travellers should act now to secure their parking spaces and avoid disappointment.
